Myne by Aanchal
Myne celebrates the timeless elegance of Chikan embroidery. We believe in the philosophy of being traditional yet sexy, and love to dress our women in chic, glamorous clothes.
When we launched Myne in 2009, we didn’t start with any great vision or detailed business plan. We started it because we loved doing what we do. We did not have any major expansion plans. Nor did we have any intention of competing with established labels. That holds good even today. In the next 5, 10 or 20 years, we would like to connect with even more people, earn more respect, appreciation and love. More than large orders, we like it when people drop in, browse through our collection and pick what they like for themselves or for a loved one. We are thrilled when people call up to tell us how stunning they looked wearing Myne. That’s what we need more of in the future too.
Our success over the last three years has vindicated our belief. Today, we are one of India’s premier online retail outlets for Chikankari apparel. Our aspirations have grown with our brand. We aspire to create a thriving community of fashion connoisseurs, a community that values and patronizes hand embroidery. A community that would be an inspiration and a source of ideas for us. A community that can help us take Chikankari embroidery to its rightful place as one of the leading and widely recognized styles across the world.
We don’t have any elaborate strategy to do that, though. We plan on just sticking to the basics. We create high quality apparel. We tell our customers exactly what it is, without any embellishments. We make it available to them at an affordable price. We make the buying process as easy as possible for them. We provide excellent customer service. We listen to what our customers say and act on it. Speaking of customers saying something, there is a feedback link on the right. It would be great if you could provide us your feedback. We would love to hear from you.
Aanchal Suri, who is also the chief designer, launched Myne in 2009. Aanchal is a graduate in Fashion and Apparel from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad. She creates her own embroidery motifs to ensure that there is no compromise in the design and character of the ensembles. Her strength lies in her eye for detail. She enjoys working like an artist on an ensemble, forgetting conventions and rules set by others and following her own instincts.
